1.     Hollow points have more ‘knock down power’. A hollow point expands upon impact, resulting in more force hitting the target.

2.     Hollow points expand when they hit soft tissue, so they are less likely to travel through the target. This being said, there isn’t as much of a chance of the round hitting someone behind the intended target.

3.     The expansion from a hollow point creates a larger wound inside the target, resulting in greater self-defense.
